I am almost halfway there.

That is crazy. 15 weeks down only 25 more to go. In the past week the baby has gone from lemon size to apple size. As I type this I am feeling him/her bouncing around in there. This time more towards the middle of my belly.
I almost can't lay on my stomach anymore. It's getting really uncomfortable, as everything below the belly button is firm and hard. I always wanted a firm hard belly!

I go back to the doctors on the 22nd of April. That's two more weeks. I get excited about these appointments...these ones are fun. Heart beats, ultrasound scheduling etc.

It's kind of strange sitting here pregnant with my 3rd child. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined what God had in store for us. A girl, a boy, and a mystery baby. Happily married for almost 11 yrs. The trials we've been through. The joy we've had. It's a good thing we aren't in charge of our futures.

Phil and I were just talking last night and not only am I anxious to find out the sex of the baby but also to meet this little one. I wonder what kind of personality it will have. My daughter takes after Phil a lot, my son, me. I wonder what this child will look like. Both my children are nice mixes of each of us. I sit and think how odd it would be if this one came out the spitting image of one of us.

So while most of pregnancy is quite dreadful, I am trying to enjoy the journey. I feel like it's my first all over again. Daydreaming about this little one. Excited to get to the finish line when I get to hold this little one in my arms. And in some respects sad, but relieved that this is my last. Pregnancy does not get any easier with age and with other little ones at home. I am coming to terms with closing the "child bearing" chapter of my life. It will certainly be strange, but I am almost there. I am ready to raise the ones God's given me and be content. I will probably always miss the snuggle of a baby but hopefully I will have lots of babies to snuggle in the near future with my sisters marriages etc.

It's been an amazing 11 yrs and I can't wait to see what the next 11 will bring.

My goodness...my oldest will be 18....YIKES! : )
